Darpan Jain gets extension as Joint Secretary in Department of Commerce

The central deputation tenure of Darpan Jain (IAS:2001:KN) as Joint Secretary in the Department of Commerce has been extended for two years. As per the order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Tuesday (February 13, 2024), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the Department of Commerce’s proposal to extend Mr. Jain’s deputation tenure for two years beyond February 19, 2024, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
