Centre appoints One DIG and Four SPs in CBI

Senior IPS officer Jitendra Singh Meena (IPS:2007:CH) has assumed the role of Deputy Inspector General in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for five years, as per the official order from the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).

Senior IPS officer Jitendra Singh Meena (IPS:2007:CH) has assumed the role of Deputy Inspector General (DIG) in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for five years, as per the official order from the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).

Besides him, four Superintendents of Police (SPs) have been appointed in the federal probe agency, according to the order issued by the personnel ministry. IPS officers Vinayak Varma (IPS:2013:MP), Achal Tyagi (IPS:2015:GJ), and Praveen Kumar (IPS:2016:GJ) have been named as SPs, each with a tenure of five years.

Additionally, Gaurav Mittal (IRS-C&IT:2012), an officer from the Indian Revenue Service, has been appointed as an SP for a four-year term, as specified in the order.
