Jayant Singh appointed as Assistant Director in NCRB

Jayant Singh (IPS:2014:AM) has been appointed as Assistant Director (SP level) in National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) for a period of five years. According to an order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Thursday (09.02.2023), the competent authority has approved the appointment of Mr. Singh to the post for a period of five years from the date of assumption of the charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

FSIB recommends 3 names for GMs & Directors of two Public Sector General Insurance Companies

The Financial Services Institutions Bureau (FSIB), on February 7, recommended three names for General Managers & Directors of two public sector general insurance companies. Earlier, FSIB, the headhunter for state-run banks and financial institutions, had interviewed seven candidates on February 7, 2023, for three vacancies of General Managers & Directors.

They are ;

  1. Sundaraman G for the vacancy of GM & Director in United India Insurance Company Ltd (UIICL).
  2. Sumita Srivastava for the vacancy of GM & Director in New India Assurance Company Ltd (NIACL).
  3. Titus Francis Maliakkel for the vacancy of GM & Director in New India Assurance Company Ltd (NIACL).

Bihar: Three IPS officers shifted, Sunil Kumar posted as ADGP, Security

The Bihar government on Friday (10.02.2023) issued transfer and posting orders for three senior IPS officers.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows:

  1. Nirmal Kumar Azad (IPS:1994:BH), ADGP, Rail has been transferred and posted as ADGP-cum-Additional Commissioner, Civil Defence.
  2. Sunil Kumar (IPS:1996:BH), ADGP, Special Branch has been transferred and posted as ADGP, Security with additional charge of Special Branch.
  3. Bacchu Singh Meena (IPS:1996:BH), ADGP, Security has been transferred and posted as ADGP, Rail.

J&K: Eight IAS officers shifted, Sanjeev Verma posted as Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir

The Jammu and Kashmir government on Friday (10.02.2023) issued transfer and posting orders for 8 IAS officers.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows:

  1. Dheeraj Gupta (IAS:1993:AGMUT), Principal Secretary, Housing and Urban Development Department, holding additional charge of Smart Cities and proposed new Jammu/Srinagar Metropolitan Region Development is transferred and posted as Principal Secretary Department of Forest, Ecology and Environment.
  2. H Rajesh Prasad (IAS:1995:AGMUT), Principal Secretary, Power Development Department has been given additional charge of Principal Secretary, Housing and Urban Development.
  3. Sanjeev Verma (IAS:2001:AGMUT), Commissioner/Secretary, Department of Forest, Ecology and Environment has been transferred and posted as Commissioner/Secretary, General Administration Department.
  4. Vijay Kumar Bidhuri (IAS:2005:AGMUT), Commissioner/Secretary, Revenue Department, holding additional charge of Principal Resident Commissioner, New Delhi has been transferred and posted as Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir.
  5. Sarmad Hafeez (IAS:2009:AGMUT), Secretary, Tourism Department, holding additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Youth Services and Sports Department, has been transferred and posted as Secretary, Youth Services and Sports Department with additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Tourism Department.
  6. Dr. Syed Abid Rasheed Shah (IAS:2012:AGMUT), Special Secretary, Finance Department, holding additional charge of CEO, ERA & Mission Director, Jal Jeevan Mission, J&K, has been transferred and posted as Administrative Secretary, Culture Department with additional charge of Chief Executive Officer, Economic Reconstruction Agency.
  7. Dr. Piyush Singla (IAS:2012:AGMUT), Administrative Secretary, General Administration Department, has been transferred and posted as Administrative Secretary, Revenue Department.
  8. Rakesh Minhas (IAS:2016:AUGMUT) has been posted as MD, SIDCO with additional charge of the post of MD, SICOP.

Chairman CBIC presides over Passing Out Ceremony of 72nd Batch of IRS (C&IT) Officers

The 72nd Batch of IRS(C&IT) completed their induction training on Friday at the National Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes and Narcotics (NACIN), Faridabad. A total of 33 officers are part of the 72nd batch, which includes 7 lady officers. The young officers will be responsible for administering customs and indirect taxes in the country.

Vivek Johri, Chairman, Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs (CBIC), presided over at the Passing-Out Parade, 2023 and also delivered the keynote address on the occasion.

In his keynote address, Johri urged young officers to maintain a balance between facilitation and enforcement. He also talked about adapting technology to make life easier for taxpayers as well. The officers were reminded to remember their role as public servants, to be accessible to the public, and to be the change they wish to see.

CBIC Chairman congratulated the 72nd Batch for successfully completing their training and also acknowledged the contribution of the families of the officers for shaping them into well-rounded individuals.

In her welcome address earlier, the Principal Director General of NACIN, Neeta Lall Butalia, emphasized the significance of hard work and maintaining a good work ethic in professional life. She reminded the officers that their association with NACIN hasn’t come to an end but would continue till the end of their service.

In his address, Member (Admin) Alok Shukla urged officers to apply themselves enthusiastically to their assigned tasks and stay motivated.

Keeping the spirit of Amrit Kaal, which marks the beginning of a 25-year-long lead-up to India@100, these young officers are well-trained to be futuristic and inclusive. During the passing out ceremony, the following five officer trainees who have excelled in different areas of training were awarded medals for their exceptional achievements.

  1. Ms. Maninderjit Kaur received the Finance Minister’s Gold Medal.
  2. Ms. Rashmi Shakrawal received the Chairman’s Gold Medal
  3. Mr. Prashant Sharma won the Shri N.K. Upadhyay Memorial Gold Medal
  4. Ms. Rashmi Shakrawal won the Smt. Kaushalya NArayanan Memorial Gold Medal
  5. Mr. Abhishek Kumar Singh won the Director General’s Gold Medal.

Srinivas Malladi appointed as Director, Department of Defence

Srinivas Malladi (IRSE-Civil:2006), who was recommended for central deputation by the Ministry of Railways, has been selected for appointment as Director in the Department of Defence, Delhi for a period of five years. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Friday (10.02.2023), the central government appointed Mr. Malladi to the post under the central staffing scheme for a period of five years from the date of taking over the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Amit Satija appointed as Director, Department of Defence Production

Amit Satija (IAS:2008:AGMUT) has been appointed to the post of Director in the Department of Defence Production, Delhi for a period of five years. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Friday (10.02.2023), the competent authority has approved the appointment of Mr. Satija to the post under the central staffing scheme for a period of five years from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Manish Patil appointed as Director (HR), ONGC

Manish Patil has been selected for the post of Director (Human Resources), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) at a Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) meeting held on February 10, 2023. Presently, he is working as Executive Director, Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (IOCL).

He will be appointed to the post of Director (Human Resources) after receiving vigilance clearances and an approval from the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet.

Ambar Kishore Jha appointed as DIG in BPR&D

Ambar Kishore Jha (IPS:2009:TG), SP, Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D) has been appointed to the post of DIG, BPR&D. According to an order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs on Thursday (09.02.2023), the competent authority has approved the appointment of Mr. Jha to the post by temporarily upgrading the post of SP, BPR&D upto the remaining approved tenure i.e. 13.10.2024, from the date of joining the post of DIG or until regular vacancy at the level of DIG arises in BPR&D or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
