Rajeev Kumar Sinha selected as Director (Technical), CMPDIL

Rajeev Kumar Sinha has been selected for the post of Director (Technical) at Central Mine Planning & Design Institute Limited (CMPDIL) by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB). The selection was made during a PESB meeting held on July 2, 2025.

Sinha is currently serving as General Manager (TS to CMD), CMD Secretariat, at Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL).

Following the selection, the PESB has recommended his name to the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) for final approval. His formal appointment will be subject to the receipt of vigilance clearance and the ACC’s confirmation.

AP Das Joshi appointed Secretary, Ministry of Food Processing Industries

In a significant development, AP Das Joshi (IAS:1994:AM) has been appointed as the new Secretary of the Ministry of Food Processing Industries. The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) issued the appointment order on Wednesday.

Joshi is currently serving as Additional Secretary in the Department of Personnel and Training under the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions.

The post had been vacant since the superannuation of Subrata Gupta (IAS:1990:WB) on May 31, 2025. In the interim, Sanjeev Chopra (IAS:1990:OR), Secretary of the Department of Food and Public Distribution, was holding additional charge of the Ministry of Food Processing Industries.

BPR&D DG Rajeev Sharma repatriated to enable him to take charge as DGP Rajasthan

BPRD DG Rajeev Sharma Repatriated Parent Cadre

Rajeev Kumar Sharma (IPS:1990:RJ), currently serving as Director General (DG) of the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D), has been prematurely repatriated to his parent cadre, Rajasthan.

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the Ministry of Home Affairs’ proposal to repatriate Sharma with immediate effect.

The repatriation comes in the wake of the Rajasthan government’s decision to appoint Rajeev Sharma as the state’s new Director General of Police (DGP). He replaces acting DGP Ravi Prakash Meharda (IPS:1991:RJ), who retired on Monday (June 30, 2025).

The Bihar government on Tuesday (July 1, 2025) issued transfer and posting orders for 5 IAS officers.

The name of the officers and their postings are as follows;
