It has been reported that some AIS officers serving in the Northeast have found the DOPT’s order “insensitive and abrupt without regard or consideration for the suffering and challenges that AIS officers in the North Eastern states face.”
The rank and file of officers in the North-East are extremely dissatisfied with the order. AIS officers are complaining that they have already been denied DA increments for 1.5 years during the COVID-19 pandemic and now this.
In an order issued Friday, the DOPT informed all state chief secretaries that special incentives and allowances of additional 25 percent basic pay will be withdrawn immediately for all AIS officers posted in the states.
