Abhishek Jain (IAS:2002:HP) has been appointed as Director of Census Operation (DCO)/Director of Citizen Registration (DCR) (JS level) in the Office of Registrar General of India under the Ministry of Home Affairs. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Saturday (20.08.2022), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal to appoint Jain to the post for an overall tenure of five years up to 18.12.2022 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
