Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Sunday (November 1, 2026) issued an order transferring and posting nine IPS/OPS officers in the state police and Home Department. Notably, Susanta Kumar Nath (IPS:1993), Director General of Prisons and Correctional Services, Odisha, has been posted as Officer on Special Duty (OSD), Home Department.
The names of the officers and their new postings are as follows:
- Susanta Kumar Nath (IPS:1993:OR), Director General of Prisons and Correctional Services, has been transferred and posted as OSD, Home Department.
- Dr Santosh Bala (IPS:1995:OR), Director, S.F.S.L., Bhubaneswar, has been allowed to remain in additional charge of Additional Director General of Prisons and Director, Correctional Services.
- Amitabh Thakur (IPS:1998:OR), Transport Commissioner, Odisha, Kataka, and holding additional charge of Additional Director General of Police, Prisons, will continue as Transport Commissioner, Odisha, Kataka.
- Rajesh Kumar (IPS:1998:OR), Additional Director General of Police, S.A.P., Bhubaneswar, has been allowed to remain in additional charge of Special Secretary, Home Department.
- Sarah Sharma (IPS:2010:OR), repatriated from Central Deputation, has been posted as DIG, Vigilance.
- Gundala Reddy Raghavendra (IPS:2019:OR), SP, Jharsuguda, has been transferred and posted as AIG, State Police Headquarters, Kataka.
- Amritpal Singh (IPS:2021:OR), SP, Nuapada, has been transferred and posted as SP, State Police Headquarters.
- Sonali Singh Parmar (IPS:2022:OR), Additional SP, Khordha, has been transferred and posted as SP, Jharsuguda.
- Tapan Narayana Rath (OPS), AIG, State Police Headquarters, Kataka, has been transferred and posted as SP, Nuapada.
