New Delhi: The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has promoted two 1994-batch Indian Revenue Service (Customs & Indirect Taxes) officers, Rakesh Goyal and Rajeev Yadav, to the grade of Chief Commissioner/Director General in Level 16 of the Pay Matrix.
According to issued on Thursday (October 29, 2026), the promotions have been made against the panel year 2026 and will take effect from the date of assumption of charge of the promotional posts.
Their regular postings will be decided later with the approval of the Competent Authority. Until then, both officers will assume charge of their promotional posts on an in-situ basis (as is where is basis).
