New Delhi: IRS officer Iftakhar Ahmed Chowdhry (IRS-C&IT:2013), who was recommended for central deputation by the Department of Revenue, has been appointed Deputy Secretary in the Department of Health Research (DHR), Delhi, for four years.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Monday (October 19, 2026), the competent authority has approved his appointment under the Central Staffing Scheme for a period of four years from the date he assumes charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Prior to this appointment, he was serving as Additional Commissioner, Mumbai Customs Export, under the Mumbai-I Customs Zone.
