Gopal Singh’s additional charge as Commissioner of CMPFO extended by six months

Gopal Singh gets a six-month extension as Commissioner of CMPFO while serving as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Coal.

New Delhi: Indian Forest Service officer Gopal Singh (IFoS:2003:BH), Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Coal, will continue to hold the additional charge of Commissioner (JS level), Coal Mines Provident Fund Organisation (CMPFO), for six months.

According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Saturday (September 19, 2026), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the proposal of the Ministry of Coal to extend the entrustment of additional charge of the post for six months with effect from August 17, 2026, or until the appointment of a regular incumbent to the post, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
