The Central Government on Saturday (August 8, 2026) extended the tenure of Enforcement Directorate (ED) Director Rahul Navin (IRS-IT:1993) by one year beyond August 13, 2026.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the extension of Navin’s tenure as Director, ED, for a further period of one year beyond August 13, 2026, i.e. up to August 13, 2027, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
The extension also includes continuation in service beyond his date of superannuation on July 31, 2027.
Navin has been serving as the full-time Director of the Enforcement Directorate since August 14, 2024. Prior to his appointment as full-time Director, he was appointed as Acting Director of the agency in September 2023.
