New Delhi: Senior IAS Officer Manoj Kumar Dwivedi (IAS:1997:AGMUT) has been appointed as Chairperson of the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) shortly after his repatriation from the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) to his parent AGMUT cadre.
According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Wednesday (August 5, 2026), Dwivedi has been appointed as Chairperson, NDMC, with effect from the date of assumption of charge and until further orders.
He succeeds Keshav Chandra (IAS:1995:AGMUT), who was recently appointed as Secretary, Ministry of Mines.
Earlier in the day, the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) had issued an order stating that the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) approved Dwivedi’s repatriation to the parent AGMUT cadre on the request of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
