New Delhi: The Central Government has re-appointed K Rajaraman as Chairperson of the International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA) beyond July 31, 2026.
According to a Gazette Notification issued by the Ministry of Finance on Thursday (July 30, 2026), Rajaraman has been re-appointed to the post till he attains the age of 65 years, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. He will attain the age of 65 on October 24, 2028.
Rajaraman was appointed as Chairperson of IFSCA in 2023 for an initial tenure of three years. Prior to taking over the post, he served as Secretary, Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Government of India.
Headquartered at GIFT City, Gandhinagar, the International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA) is the unified regulator for financial products, financial services and financial institutions operating in India’s International Financial Services Centre (IFSC).
