Bihar transfers 10 IAS officers; Sanjay Kumar shifted to Urban Development Department

Patna: The Bihar government on Thursday (July 10, 2026) issued transfer and posting orders for 10 IAS officers, assigning them new responsibilities across various departments.

The names of the officers and their new postings are as follows:

1. Sanjay Kumar (IAS:2014:BH), Special Duty Officer, State Election Commission, Patna, has been transferred and posted as Additional Secretary, Urban Development and Housing Department.
2. Manoranjan Kumar (IAS:2016:BH), Director (Administration), Education Department, has been transferred and posted as Director, Science & Technology and Technical Education Department.
3. Dr Gagan (IAS:2016:BH), Managing Director, Bihar State Warehousing Corporation (Cooperation Department), has been transferred and posted as Municipal Commissioner, Gaya.
4. Vidhu Bhushan Choudhary (IAS:2016:BH), Additional Secretary, Information & Public Relations Department, has been transferred and posted as Additional Secretary, Industries Department.
5. Krityanand Ranjan (IAS:2017:BH), Additional Secretary, Transport Department, has been transferred and posted as Municipal Commissioner, Nalanda.
6. Manoj Kumar (IAS:2017:BH), Additional Secretary, Urban Development and Housing Department, has been transferred and posted as Additional Secretary, Industries Department.
7. Hemant Kumar Singh (IAS:2017:BH), Additional Secretary, Youth, Employment and Skill Development Department, has been transferred and posted as Secretary, Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC).
8. Pradeep Singh (IAS:2020:BH), Joint Secretary, Tourism Department, will hold additional charge of Additional Managing Director, Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation until further orders.
9. Sara Ashraf (IAS:2021:BH), Deputy Development Commissioner-cum-Chief Executive Officer, Zila Parishad, Supaul, has been transferred and posted as Director, Food Processing, Industries Department.
10. Nishant Sihara (IAS:2022:BH), Sub-Divisional Officer, Motihari Sadar, East Champaran, has been transferred and posted as Deputy Development Commissioner-cum-Chief Executive Officer, Zila Parishad, Muzaffarpur.
