Himachal Pradesh reshuffles 17 IAS officers; OC Sharma Gets Transport, Rawther Nazeem moved to Home

Shimla: The Himachal Pradesh government on Friday (July 10, 2026) issued transfer and posting orders for 17 IAS officers, assigning new responsibilities to several senior officers.

The names of the officers and their new postings are as follows:

1. Onkar Chand Sharma (IAS:1994:HP), Additional Chief Secretary, Tribal Development, with additional charge of CMD, Ropeways and Rapid Transport System Development Corporation Ltd., has been given additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary, Transport.
2. Rawther Dawood Nazeem (IAS:1995:HP), Additional Chief Secretary, Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, with additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary, Transport & Industries, has been transferred and posted as Additional Chief Secretary, Home & Vigilance, MPP & Power and NCES, relieving Kamlesh Kumar Pant of the charge of Home & Vigilance and Rakesh Kanwar of the charge of MPP & Power and NCES.
3. Devesh Kumar (IAS:1998:HP), Principal Secretary, Urban Development, with additional charge of Principal Secretary, Finance, Planning, Economics & Statistics, 20 Point Programme, State Taxes & Excise, Tourism & Civil Aviation and PWD, will now function as Principal Secretary, Finance, Planning, Economics & Statistics and 20 Point Programme. He has also been given additional charge of Principal Secretary, Animal Husbandry. He will continue to hold the additional charge of Principal Secretary, PWD.
4. M Sudha Devi (IAS:2003:HP), Principal Secretary, Health & Family Welfare, with additional charge of Principal Secretary, Personnel, has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary, Forest & Industries. She will continue to hold the additional charge of Principal Secretary, Personnel.
5. Priyanka Basu Ingty (IAS:2004:HP), Secretary, Labour & Employment, Printing & Stationery, Fisheries and YSS, with additional charge of Chairperson, Appellate Tax Tribunal, Dharamshala, has been given additional charge of Secretary, Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs.
6. Ashish Singhmar (IAS:2008:HP), Secretary, Digital Technologies & Governance and Secretary to the Chief Minister (II), with additional charges of Secretary, SAD, SWD & Parliamentary Affairs, Secretary, GAD, Secretary, Animal Husbandry and Secretary, HP Human Rights Commission, has been given additional charge of Secretary, Health & Family Welfare.
7. Dr Yunus (IAS:2010:HP), Director, Industries, with additional charge of Commissioner, State Taxes & Excise, has been posted as Secretary, State Taxes & Excise.
8. Sandeep Kumar (IAS:2010:HP), Divisional Commissioner, Kangra Division, Dharamshala, has been posted as Secretary, Tourism & Civil Aviation.
9. Amarjeet Singh (IAS:2010:HP), Secretary, Town & Country Planning and Housing, with additional charge of Secretary, Home, has been given additional charge of Secretary, Urban Development.
10. Vivek Bhatia (IAS:2011:HP), Principal Private Secretary-cum-Special Secretary to the Chief Minister, with additional charge of Director, Tourism & Civil Aviation, has been given additional charge of Director, Industries.
11. Rakesh Kumar Prajapati (IAS:2012:HP), Director, Energy, has been transferred and posted as Director, Tourism & Civil Aviation.
12. Dr Ashwani Kumar Sharma (IAS:2014:HP), Special Secretary, Health & Family Welfare, with additional charge of CEO, Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojna, has been posted as Commissioner, State Taxes & Excise.
13. Vivek Chandel (IAS:2018:HP), Director-cum-Warden of Fisheries, Bilaspur, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Baddi, Solan.
14. Dr Madhu Chaudhary (IAS:2019:HP), Registrar, CSK HP Krishi Vishvavidyalaya, Palampur, has been posted as Special Secretary, Health & Family Welfare. She will also hold additional charge of CEO, Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojna.
15. Om Kant Thakur (IAS:2020:HP), under orders of posting as Managing Director, H.P. State Handicrafts and Handloom Corporation, has been posted as Director-cum-Warden of Fisheries, Bilaspur.
16. Abhishek Kumar Garg (IAS:2020:HP), Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development)-cum-Project Director (DRDA), Hamirpur, has been posted as Managing Director, HP State Industrial Development Corporation Ltd.
17. Gursimar Singh (IAS:2020:HP), under orders of posting as Managing Director, General Industries Corporation Ltd., has been posted as Director, Technical Education, Sundernagar. He will also hold additional charge of Managing Director, HP Kaushal Vikas Nigam, Sundernagar.
