PESB recommends Ajay Kumar for BPRL Director (Operations & Business Development) post

The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has recommended Ajay Kumar for appointment as Director (Operations & Business Development), Bharat Petro Resources Limited (BPRL).

The recommendation was made during the PESB selection meeting held on Tuesday (June 23, 2026). Kumar is currently serving as General Manager and Executive Assistant to Director (Strategy & Corporate Affairs), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC).

Following the recommendation, his name will now be forwarded to the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) for final approval. The appointment will be subject to vigilance clearance and completion of other prescribed formalities.

A total of eight candidates appeared before the PESB selection panel. They were;

4. Hemant Kumar Sonkar, General Manager (Production) and Project Manager, Block A1 & A3 Myanmar, Vietnam 06.1 and SEAGP 791.5 km Myanmar-China Pipeline, ONGC Videsh Limited
5. Rajeev Chak, Senior General Manager (Projects), Engineers India Limited
6. Kavita Bhardwaj, Deputy General Manager (Corporate Strategy & Planning), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited
7. Partha Debnath, Deputy General Manager (Projects), Engineers India Limited
8. Dr Rajnish Kumar, Deputy General Manager (Aviation), Northern Region Office, Delhi, Indian Oil Corporation Limited.
