IAS officer Prasanth MS (IAS:2015:TN) has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat for four years. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Wednesday (June 17, 2026), the competent authority has approved his appointment to the post under central staffing scheme for a period of four years from date of taking charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
He is currently serving in the parent cadre Tamil Nadu as Joint Secretary, Finance Department.
