The central deputation tenure of Satyajit Mohanty (IRS-C&IT:1999) as Joint Secretary in the Department of Defence has been extended by one year. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Saturday (April 18, 2026), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal of Ministry of Defence to extend his deputation tenure for a period of one year beyond July 9, 2026 or until further orders, whichever occurs the earliest.
