The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has recommended Anand Mohan for appointment as Director (Technical) of Central Mine Planning & Design Institute Limited (CMPDIL). The recommendation was made following interviews conducted by PESB on February 12, 2026. He is currently serving as Area General Manager at Eastern Coalfields Limited.
The post was advertised on July 8, 2025, in view of the vacancy arising on March 1, 2026. The incumbent Director (Technical), Shankar Nagachari, who has been serving in the role since September 2022, is scheduled to retire on February 28, 2026.
A total of eleven candidates were considered for the post. These included:
