In a significant development, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Friday (September 19, 2025) approved the central deputation of three IPS officers for key postings in national agencies and institutions.
- Rema Rajeswari (IPS:2009:TG) has been appointed as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) in the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB).
- Ilango R (IPS:2015:KL) has been appointed as Assistant Director at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA), Hyderabad.
- Albert John (IPS:2017:TN) has been appointed as Superintendent of Police (SP) in the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
According to the orders issued by the MHA, the competent authority has approved these appointments against existing vacancies under the usual terms and conditions of central deputation. The respective state governments have been directed to relieve the officers immediately to enable them to take up their new assignments at the Centre.
