In a move that has stirred considerable buzz in bureaucratic circles, the Tripura government on July 1, 2025, appointed Rinku Lather (IAS:2021:TR) as District Magistrate & Collector of Gomati District. The decision, made as part of a broader bureaucratic reshuffle, has surprised many across the state’s administrative setup.
