IRS Ankit appointed Deputy Secretary in Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways

New Delhi: IRS officer Ankit (C&IT:2016), who was recommended for central deputation by the Department of Revenue, has been selected for appointment as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Delhi, for four years.

According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Friday (October 16, 2026), his appointment has been approved under the Central Staffing Scheme for four years from the date of taking charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Prior to this assignment, Ankit served as CCO & CCA, Patna (Ranchi GST & CX Zone).
