Vinay Kaushal (IRS-IT:2011), currently serving as the Private Secretary to Minister for Information & Broadcasting Ashwini Vaishnaw at the Deputy Secretary level, has been re-designated as Director.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Wednesday (01.02.2025), the competent authority has approved the proposal to re-designate Mr. Kaushal’s post to Director level with effect from January 1, 2025 or from date of assumption of charge of re-designated post, whichever is later and for a period upto January 27, 2027 or on co-terminus basis with the Minister or till he ceases to function as Private Secretary to the Minister or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
It is noteworthy that Vinay Kaushal began his central deputation tenure on January 28, 2022.
Apart from holding the charge of the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Ashwini Vaishnaw also serves as the Minister for Railways and the Minister for Electronics and Information Technology.
