The Union government on Monday (23.12.2024) notified the appointment of four Additional Judges of the Karnataka High Court as Permanent Judges of that High Court.
These judges are ;
- Justice Ramachandra Dattatray Huddar
- Justice Venkatesh Naik Thavaryanaik
- Justice Vijaykumar Adagouda Patil
- Justice Rajesh Rai Kallangala
The appointments of Justices Huddar, Thavaryanaik, and Patil take effect from the date they assume charge. Justice Kallangala’s elevation as a Permanent Judge will be effective from February 1, 2025.
The Supreme Court Collegium had approved the proposal for appointing the four Additional Judges of Karnataka High Court as Permanent Judges of the Court vide notification dated 12th December, 2024.
