The Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA) will bear a festive look as passing out parade for the IPS probationers will be organized on September 20. A total of 188 IPS probationers and 19 officers from countries like Nepal, Bhutan, Maldives and Mauritius will be passing out during the Dikshant Parade. Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai will be the chief guest.
These probationers, which includes 58 women officers, form the 76th batch of the IPS (Regular Recruits).
According to sources, the probationers were imparted training in almost all kinds of threats the country is facing today; from internal security to cyber- crimes and from drug trafficking to financial frauds and new threats in form of artificial intelligence.
These probationers will be posted in districts for practical training after which the nine-week-long second phase of their training will begin at the academy.
