Major reshuffle at JS level; 39 officers assigned new responsibilities

The central government on Tuesday late evening carried out a large-scale reshuffle at Joint Secretary level, impacting 39 senior officers.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows;

  1. Muktanand Agrawal (IAS:2008:RJ) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare for an overall tenure of five years upto 06.11.2027. He replaces Ashish Kumar Srivastava (IFoS:1997:TN)
  2. Purna Chandra Kishan (IAS:2005:RJ) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare for a tenure of five years vice Pankaj Yadav (IAS:2001:HY).
  3. Anurag Srivastava (IRS-IT: 1993) has been appointed as Joint Secretary & FA, Department of Atomic Energy, Mumbai for a tenure of five years by temporarily downgrading the vacant post of AS & FA. He will replace Rajeev Kumar Mital (IAS:1998:MH).
  4. Ekta Vishnoi (IRS-IT:1999) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Bio-Technology for a combined tenure of seven years up to 05.11.2026. She replaces Chaitanya Murti (IFoS:1995:TR).
  5. Nila Mohanan (IAS:2007:AGMUT) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat for an overall tenure of five years upto 04.10.2025 which is further extendable for additional two years on availability of cadre clearance. She will replace Ashutosh Jindal (IAS: 1995: TR). Presently, she is Joint Secretary, DOPT.
  6. Aishvarya Singh (IAS:2008:SK) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Commerce for an overall tenure upto 05.02.2025 vice Vipul Bansal (IAS:2005:KN). Presently, she is Joint Secretary, PMO.
  7. Siddharth Jain (IAS:2001:AP) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Cooperation for a tenure of five years vice Alok Agarwal (CSS).
  8. Samir Ashwin Vakil (IRS-T:1998) has been appointed as Director, Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs for a tenure of five years. He replaces Keshav Chandra (IAS:1995:AGMUT).
  9. Kaul Sanjay Moolchand (IAS:2001:KL) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Culture for a tenure of five years. He replace Sanjukta Mudgal (IFoS:1990:MP).
  10. Pawan Kumar Sharma (IAS:1999:MP) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Defence for a tenure of five years by temporarily downgrading the vacant post of Additional Secretary in the Department. He will replace Nivedita Shukla Verma (IAS:1991:UP).
  11. Amit Satija (IAS:2008:AGMUT) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Defence Production for an overall tenure of five years upto 16.04.2028. He will replace Surendra Prasad Yadav (IFoS:1996:WB).
  12. Alok Tiwari (IAS:2007:UP) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs for an overall tenure of five years upto 26.09.2026. He will replace K Manicka Raj (IAS:2005:TG).
  13. Sanjay Kumar (IAS:2008:AGMUT) has been appointed as Deputy Election Commissioner, Election Commission of India for an overall tenure of five years upto 26.01.2027. He will replace R K Gupta (CSS).
  14. Ajeet Kumar (IAS:2002:MP) has been appointed as Deputy Election Commissioner, Election Commission of India for a tenure of five years. He will replace Ajay Bhadoo (IAS:1999:GJ).
  15. Nand Kumarum (IAS:2008:MP) has been appointed as CEO, National e Governance Division (NeGD) under the Ministry of Electronics & IT for an overall tenure of five years upto 17.07.2027. He will replace Abhishek Singh (IAS:1995:NL).
  16. Anirudh Kumar (IRSME:1995) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Warehousing Development & Regulatory Authority (WDRA) under the Department of Food & Public Distribution for a tenure of five years. He replaces Dheeraj Sahu (IAS:1996:UP).
  17. Latha Ganapathy (IAS:2007:TN) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Health & Family Welfare for an overall tenure of five years upto 02.10.2027. She replaces Vipul Aggarwal (IPS:2001:GJ).
  18. Nikhil Gajraj (IAS:2008:HY) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Health & Family Welfare for an overall tenure of five years upto 27.08.2024 which is further extendable for additional two years on availability of cadre clearance. He replaces Aradhana Patnaik (IAS:1998:JH).
  19. V Kiran Gopal (IAS:2008:MP) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, National Health Authority (NHA) under the Department of Health & Family Welfare for an overall tenure of five years upto 11.11.2026.
  20. Sudhanshu Panwar (IRSME:1997) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Heavy Industries for a tenure of five years. He replaces Mukta Shekhar (IRAS:1994).
  21. Niraj Kumar Bansod (IAS:2008:CG) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs for an overall tenure of five years upto 29.08.2027. He will replace Shri Prakash (CSS).
  22. Sunil Kumar (IRAS:1995) has been appointed as Additional Registrar General, O/o Registrar General and Census Commissioner under MHA for a combined tenure of seven years up to 07.05.2026. He replaces Sanjay (ISS:1992).
  23. P Bala Kiran (IAS:2008:KL) has been appointed as Director (Census Operations) (JS level), Andhra Pradesh, O/o Registrar General and Census Commissioner, India under MHA for an overall tenure upto 31.12.2025 by temporarily upgrading the post held by the officer from Director level to Joint Secretary level.

Pooja Pandey (IAS:2008:AM) has been appointed as Director (Census Operations) (JS level), Arunachal Pradesh & Meghalaya, O/o Registrar General and Census Commissioner, India under MHA for an overall tenure upto 31.12.2025 by temporarily upgrading the post held by the officer from Director level to Joint Secretary level.
  25. Sheetal Verma (IAS:2007:UP) has been appointed as Director (Census Operations) (JS level), Uttar Pradesh, O/o Registrar General and Census Commissioner, India under MHA for an overall tenure upto 31.12.2025 by temporarily upgrading the post held by the officer from Director level to Joint Secretary level.
  26. Vatsalya Saxena (IRS-IT:1994) has been appointed as CEO, Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) under the Ministry of MSME for a tenure upto superannuation on 30.04.2028. He replaces Vinit Kumar (IRSEE:1994).
  27. Kumar Ravi Kant Singh (IAS:2008:UP) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Military Affairs for a combined tenure of seven years upto 01.06.2025. He replaces Shantanu (IAS:1997:TR).
  28. Ram Singh (IAS:2008:AM) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Minority Affairs for an overall tenure of five years upto 24.05.2027. He replaces Jitendra Singh Raje (IAS:2007:SK).
  29. Dhrijesh Kumar Tiwari (ISS:1998) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Development Monitoring and Evaluation Office (DMEO) under the NITI Aayog for a tenure of five years. He replaces Shailendra Kumar Dwivedi (IPoS:1997).
  30. J Ashok Kumar (IAS:2008:AGMUT) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Personnel and Training (DOPT) for an overall tenure of five years upto 03.03.2027. He replaces Rajul Bhatt (IPoS:2000).
  31. Chhavi Bhardwaj (IAS:2008:MP) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, DOPT for an overall tenure of five years upto 17.07.2027. She replaces Nila Mohanan (IAS:2007:AGMUT).
  32. Shyama Prasad Roy (CSS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Capacity Building Commission (CBC) under DOPT for a tenure of five years by temporarily upgrading a post of Director in the Commission to Joint Secretary level, initially for two years.
  33. V Lalithalakshmi (IAS:2008:WB) has been appointed as Secretary, Capacity Building Commission (CBC), with additional charge of the post of CEO, Karmayogi Bharat under DOPT for an overall tenure of five years upto 28.02.2027.
  34. Shiv Kumar (IAS:2008:AGMUT) has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) under DOPT for an overall tenure of five years upto 02.12.2026. He replaces Praveen Kumari Singh (IRPS: 1993).
  35. Vinod Seshan (IAS:2008:AM) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Petroleum & Natural Gas for an overall tenure of five years upto 08.03.2027 vice Sunil Kumar (IRAS: 1995).
  36. Naval Kishore Ram (IAS:2008:MH) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Revenue for an overall tenure of five years upto 10.08.2025 which is further extendable for additional two years on availability of cadre clearance vice Ritvik Ranjanam Pandey (IAS:1998:KN).
  37. Rohini R Bhajibhakare (IAS:2008:TN) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Rural Development for an overall tenure of five years upto 27.11.2024 which is further extendable for additional two years on availability of cadre clearance. She replaces Amit Kataria (IAS:2004:CG).
  38. Dipti Aditya Kanade (IAS:2008:KN) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Space, Bengaluru for an overall tenure of five years upto 24.04.2027 vice G Jayanti (CSS).
  39. Shobhit Jain (IRS-C&IT:2001) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Sports for a tenure of five years vice Prem Kumar Jha (IFoS:1993:OD).
