Deepa Chawla (IRAS:1998), Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO), Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL), has been given additional charge of the post of CVO, Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL). According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Tuesday (19.03.2023), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal for entrustment of additional charge of the post to Ms. Chawla for a period with effect from 17.01.2024 upto 28.12.2026 (i.e. upto a period co-terminus with her initial deputation tenure of CVO, BSNL) or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
