Sharad Ughade, Assistant Municipal Commissioner (AMC) of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), conducted a session for a new batch of IAS officers at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) in Mussoorie.
Mr Ughade conducted a session on creating good and sustainable open spaces in cities. Presently, he is currently posted in the D Ward and is also the Director of BMC’s Information Technology (IT) department.

Ughade joined the BMC in 2012 after clearing the MPSC examinations. He has done extensive work in developing open spaces like parks and gardens, beautification of public spaces including footpaths and traffic medians, and islands. Ughade has conducted several demolition drives for creating open spaces and wide roads, besides pushing for more technological integration in the BMC through the IT department.
