SS Deswal (IPS:1984:HY), Director General of Indo-Tibetan Border Police, has been given the additional charge of DG, Border Security Force after the repatriation of incumbent Vivek Johri (IPS:1984:MP) to his parent cadre Madhya Pradesh, where he will take charge as State DGP.
Deswal will hold the additional charge of the BSF DG till the appointment and joining of Johri’s successor, or until further notice, whichever is earlier, a Ministry of Home Affairs communique dated March 10 said.
