Vivek Kumar Singh re-designated as Director in Food Processing Ministry

New Delhi: Vivek Kumar Singh (CWES:2012), presently serving as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, will now hold the re-designated post of Director in the Ministry.

According to an Office Memorandum issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Tuesday (September 1, 2026), the Competent Authority has approved the re-designation of the post as a measure personal to Singh, with effect from the date he assumes charge of the re-designated post.

He will hold the post until April 18, 2029, i.e., for the admissible tenure of five years under the Central Staffing Scheme.

Notably, Vivek Kumar Singh has been on central deputation in the Ministry of Food Processing Industries since April 19, 2024.
