The Union Public Service Commission on Monday shortlisted three names for the Tamil Nadu Director-General of Police (DGP) post and forwarded the list to the state government for appointment.
The three names are ;
- C Sylendra Babu (IPS:1987)
- Karan Singha (IPS:1987)
- Sanjay Arora (IPS:1988)
Now, it is for the the Tamil Nadu government to choose its candidates from out of these names. As the incumbent DGP J K Tripathy (IPS:1985:TN) is set to retire on June 30, the government is expected to announce name of his successor anytime now.
