The Telangana government on Sunday (27.04.2025) appointed senior IAS officer K Ramakrishna Rao (IAS:1991:TG) as the new Chief Secretary of the state. He will succeed the outgoing Chief Secretary A Santhi Kumari (IAS:1989:TG), who is set to retire on April 30, 2025, upon reaching the age of superannuation.
Ramakrishna Rao, who has been serving as Special Chief Secretary for Finance Department, has held key responsibilities across both the current administration and the previous BRS government.
In a related order, the government has placed Ramakrishna Rao in full additional charge of the post of Special Chief Secretary, Finance Department, until further orders, along with his new responsibilities as Chief Secretary.
