Sunil Kumar Gupta appointed as Secretary to Vice President of India

Sunil Kumar Gupta (IAS:1987:WB) has been appointed as Secretary to Vice President of India, Jagdeep Dhankhar. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Wednesday (17.08.2022), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Gupta to the post on deputation basis with effect from the date of his assumption of charge of the post till the date of his retirement on 31.12.2023 or until further orders.

Gupta had earlier worked with Dhankhar when he was the West Bengal governor.
