New Delhi: Sumit Kumar (ISupplyS:2012), currently serving as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Heavy Industries, has been re-designated as Director in the Ministry.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Wednesday (September 9, 2026), the competent authority has approved the proposal to re-designate him as Director as a measure personal to him, with effect from the date of assumption of charge of the re-designated post. His tenure will continue up to December 31, 2028, completing the total admissible tenure of five years under the Central Staffing Scheme.
