Sumit Kumar (ISupplyS:2012), recommended for central deputation by the Department of Commerce, has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Heavy Industries for a four-year term. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, the central government has granted approval for Mr. Kumar’s appointment to the post under the central staffing scheme. The appointment is effective for four years from the date of assuming charge of the post or until further orders, whichever comes earlier.
