Chandigarh: The Haryana government on Saturday (October 3, 2026) assigned additional charge of the Finance and Planning Departments to senior IAS officer Sudhir Rajpal (IAS:1990:HY), who will hold the posts alongside his existing responsibilities.
The posts fell vacant following the retirement of Arun Gupta (IAS:1992:HY) on September 30, 2026. Gupta was also holding the charge of Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister.
Apart from the additional charge of the Finance and Planning Departments, Rajpal will continue to serve as Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) of the Home, Jails, Criminal Investigation and Administration of Justice Departments, as well as the Environment, Forests and Wildlife Departments.
