SC Collegium recommends elevation of Judges as Chief Justices

The Supreme Court Collegium on Tuesday (17.05.2022) recommended the elevation of five Judges of various High Courts as Chief Justices.

They are ;

1. Justice Vipin Sanghi, presently the Acting Chief Justice of Delhi High Court, has been recommended as Chief Justice of Uttarakhand High Court.
2. Justice Amjad A. Sayed, presently a Judge of the Bombay High Court, has been recommended as Chief Justice of Himachal Pradesh High Court.
3. Justice S.S. Shinde, presently a Judge of the Bombay High Court, has been recommended as Chief Justice of Rajasthan High Court.
4. Justice Rashmin M. Chhaya, presently a Judge of the Gujarat High Court, has been recommended as Chief Justice of Gauhati High Court.
5. Telangana High Court Judge Justice Ujjal Bhuyan has been recommended as Chief Justice of Telangana High Court.
