Centre notifies appointment of five Judges in Chhattisgarh, Gauhati High Courts

New Delhi: The Centre on Tuesday (September 8, 2026) notified the appointment of four Judicial Officers and one Advocate as Judges and Additional Judges in the Chhattisgarh and Gauhati High Courts.

According to the notification, three Judicial Officers have been appointed as Judges of the Chhattisgarh High Court, while one Judicial Officer and one Advocate have been appointed as Additional Judges of the Gauhati High Court.

The appointments are as follows:

1. Santosh Sharma, Judicial Officer– appointed as Judge of the Chhattisgarh High Court.
2. Smt. Sushma Sawant, Judicial Officer– appointed as Judge of the Chhattisgarh High Court.
3. Sudhir Kumar, Judicial Officer– appointed as Judge of the Chhattisgarh High Court.
4. Nchumbemo Mozhui, Advocate– appointed as Additional Judge of the Gauhati High Court.
5. Smt. Helen Dawangliani, Judicial Officer-appointed as Additional Judge of the Gauhati High Court.
