Satya Pratap Singh prematurely repatriated to parent cadre

New Delhi: Satya Pratap Singh (IDAS:2003), Joint Secretary in the Department of Justice, has been prematurely repatriated to his parent cadre.

According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Tuesday (September 8, 2026), the competent authority has approved the proposal of the Department of Justice for his repatriation to his parent cadre on personal grounds, with imposition of extended cooling-off.

Singh was appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Justice on March 21, 2025, for a tenure of five years. However, he is being repatriated well before completion of his approved tenure.
