S Sharad Rao (IOFS:2011), currently serving as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Steel, has been re-designated as Director. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Monday (24.03.2025), the competent authority has approved the proposal to re-designate Mr. Ray ’s post to Director level with effect from the date of assumption of charge of the re-designated post, and for a period up to June 19, 2027 i.e. combined tenure of five years on ex-cadre and central staffing scheme put together at Director level.
It is noteworthy that S Sharad Rao began his central deputation tenure on June 20, 2022.
