Punjab National Bank (PNB) on Monday (24.03.2025) announced the appointment of D Surendran as its Executive Director, effective from the same date. His appointment, made by the Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance, will remain valid until his superannuation on May 31, 2027, or until further orders.
Surendran, who previously served as Chief General Manager at Canara Bank, brings with him 34 years of extensive banking experience, covering key areas such as Branch Banking, MSME, and Human Resources.
In June 2024, the Financial Services Institutions Bureau (FSIB) had recommended the elevation of five Chief General Managers, including Surendran, for the role of Executive Directors across various public sector banks.
