The central government has appointed Ms. Rajeshwari Singh Muni as the new Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of the National Insurance Company Limited (NICL). Her assumption of office is slated for a date on or after 01.09.2023, and her tenure will continue until she reaches the age of superannuation, which is 30.06.2027, or until further directives, whichever occurs first. Notably, Ms. Muni is currently holding the position of GM & Director at United India Insurance Company Limited.
This recommendation for the CMD position at NICL was made by the Financial Services Institutions Bureau (FSIB) on June 6 of this year.
