The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has recommended Jatin Kumar Nayak for appointment as Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA).
The recommendation was made during the PESB selection meeting held on Thursday (June 19, 2026). Nayak is currently serving as Executive Director (Finance), REC Limited.
His name will now be forwarded to the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) for final approval. The appointment will be subject to vigilance clearance and completion of other prescribed formalities.
Notably, the tenure of incumbent CMD Pradeep Kumar Das is scheduled to end on June 30, 2026. The Public Enterprises Selection Board had advertised the vacancy for the post on January 28, 2026.
A total of ten candidates appeared before the PESB selection panel. They were;
