New Delhi: The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has announced four key diplomatic appointments over the past few days, naming new Ambassadors and a High Commissioner to Iran, Armenia, Ethiopia and Eswatini.
The appointments are as follows:
1. Vishwesh Negi (IFS:2002): Ambassador to Iran
On August 3, the MEA appointed Vishwesh Negi (IFS:2002), presently Joint Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs, as the next Ambassador of India to the Islamic Republic of Iran.
2. T Armstrong Changsan (IFS:1997): Ambassador to Armenia
On August 5, the MEA appointed T Armstrong Changsan (IFS:1997), presently Ambassador of India to the Republic of Cuba, as the next Ambassador of India to the Republic of Armenia.
3. Anand Prakash (YOA:2009): High Commissioner to Eswatini
On August 6, Anand Prakash (YOA:2009), presently Director in the Ministry of External Affairs, was appointed as the next High Commissioner of India to the Kingdom of Eswatini.
4. Devesh Uttam (IFS:2003): Ambassador to Ethiopia
Also on August 6, the MEA appointed Devesh Uttam (IFS:2003), presently Ambassador of India to the Republic of Lithuania, as the next Ambassador of India to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.
