New Delhi: IAS officer Akshay Tripathi (IAS:2014:UP) has been appointed as Private Secretary to the Union Minister for Tribal Affairs, Jual Oram, in the Ministry of Tribal Affairs.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Friday (August 7, 2026), the competent authority has approved his appointment at the Deputy Secretary level for a period of five years from the date of assumption of charge of the post, or on a co-terminus basis with the Minister, or until he ceases to function as Private Secretary to the Minister, or until further orders, whichever is the earliest.
Tripathi is currently serving as District Magistrate & Collector, Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh.
