Manoj Kumar Dubey (IRAS:1993) has been appointed as new Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of Indian Railway Finance Corporation Limited (IRFC). The announcement was made by IRFC in an exchange filing on Wednesday (09.10.2024), confirming Dubey’s appointment for five years from the date of his assumption of charge or until further orders.
Currently, he is serving as Director (Finance), Container Corporation of India (CONCOR).
In the company’s official statement, IRFC said, “Shri Manoj Kumar Dubey, IRAS has been appointed as an Additional Director to be designated as Chairman and Managing Director on the Board of IRFC and also designated as CEO of the Company/IRFC by the Board of Directors in its meeting held on 09.10.2024 for a period of five years.”
The Search cum Selection Committee (SCSC) in its meeting on July 9, 2024, had recommended his name for this post.
IRFC is the dedicated funding arm of Indian Railways. The company was set up in December 1986 for mobilizing funds from domestic and overseas markets to meet the pre-dominant portion of Extra Budgetary Resources requirement of Indian Railways. IRFC is a Schedule ‘A’ Public Sector Enterprise under administrative control of Ministry of Railways, Government of India.
