Inter-cadre deputation of five IAS officers to J&K cleared

The first lot of five IAS officers for inter-cadre deputation to the Union Territory of J&K has been approved by the the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT). The second list of officers is under process.

The Secretariat of Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, Ministry of Personnel, deputed two Uttar Pradesh cadre officers including one woman to J&K for a period of two years, whereas one IAS from Jharkhand, one from Rajasthan and another from Tripura have been deputed for three years.

Athar Aamir Ul Shafi Khan from Kashmir, a 2016 batch IAS of Rajasthan cadre, Akshay Labroo from Jammu, a 2018 batch officer of Tripura cadre, Basharat Qayoom of 2016 batch from Ganderbal (Kashmir) of Jharkhand cadre has been given three years, while the inter-cadre deputation of Rahul Pandey and Krittika Jyotsna of 2015 batch from Uttar Pradesh cadre will be for a period of two years.

Through an Ordinance, the Government has already merged the IAS, IPS, and IFS cadre of J&K with Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Mizoram Union Territories (AGMUT) cadre for inter cadre deputation.
