Hemant Kumar Patil’s tenure as MCA Director extended by two years

ACC extends Hemant Kumar Patil’s deputation as Director in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs by two years beyond August 15, 2026.

The central deputation tenure of Hemant Kumar Patil (IOFS:2002), Director in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, has been extended by two years. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Monday (June 8, 2026), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the proposal of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs to extend his tenure beyond August 15, 2026 for a period of two years or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Patil has been serving as Director in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs since April 2025 after being laterally shifted from the post of Director in the National Recruitment Agency (NRA).

Notably, he was appointed as Director in the NRA in July 2021 for a tenure of five years and assumed charge of the post on August 16, 2021.
