Dharmendra Sharma’s tenure as DG of IIIDEM curtailed

In a significant development, the tenure of Dharmendra Sharma (Retd. IAS:1988:AGMUT) as Director General (DG), India International Institute of Democracy and Election Management (IIIDEM) has been curtailed with immediate effect at the request of Election Commission of India.

According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Friday (29.11.2024), “The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved curtailment of the term of re-employment of Shri Dharmendra Sharma, lAS (AGMUT:88) (Retd.) as Director General, India International Institute of Democracy and Election Management with immediate effect on the request of Election Commission of India.”
