Gurugram: REC Limited, a Maharatna Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) under the Ministry of Power and a leading Infrastructure Financing NBFC, has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Career Forum for the implementation of a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project titled “Establishment of 20 Smart Classrooms in Government Schools of Alipurduar, West Bengal.”
The MoA was signed on Tuesday (July 14, 2026) by Arun Kumar Tyagi, Executive Director (CSR), REC Limited, and Anant Chauhan, Chairman, Career Forum, in the presence of L. B. Nautiyal, Head of Department (CSR), REC Limited, along with other senior officials.
As part of the CSR initiative, 20 Smart Classrooms will be established in government schools across Alipurduar district of West Bengal. The project is expected to benefit more than 1,500 students by providing access to technology-enabled, interactive learning tools aimed at improving classroom engagement and learning outcomes.
The initiative seeks to strengthen digital education infrastructure in the rural and tribal regions of West Bengal by integrating modern teaching technologies into government schools. It reflects REC Limited’s continued commitment to promoting inclusive education, bridging the digital divide, and expanding access to quality, technology-driven learning for students.
